Homework:

This past week presented a lot of homework for me and various things to figure out, but I feel I've at least managed the minimum, though hope to push a bit more forward today. Overall, things have been alright. It's been good I've been making a wee bit extra. The savings...is well, gone now pretty much as my mum needed the money for vet bills again and house bills. She keeps making herself overwhelmed by thinking she has a billion tasks to do in a day when many of the things she tells me she has to do are either several days away or even weeks away. It's been mentally difficult to deal with at times because I'd like to help her, but I need to be able to help myself first...and not to mention, I can't help her with her mental things. We did at least manage a therapist and she's also getting physical therapy as she's lost of a lot of muscle and thus her body has become weak. You can imagine the danger when you're frail and have a 45+ kg dog who has medical issues of her own. Despite how often I remind her as well, her dog will never heal from thyroid problems and will need the meds the rest of her life, but she likes to think she can solve it through some holistic means or eventually stopping the medication. Not gonna happen, sad to say. 

It's been like this on and off all year, but I do hope it lessens at some point. She's become toxic to be around and thus, here we are >.< Oh well, I manage at least and am trying what I can when I can. I do notice the homework and progress has opened my eyes to a few things I've generally either neglected to consider with my art, or forgot at some point for one reason or another. Probably mostly complacency since I no longer see other artists in person, except maybe 1x a year as of an off chance. 

I'm still surviving though. Bit by bit so don't worry!

Sorry for The Past Few Pages:

As I was going through things, I noticed that in a few of the past pages before this one...Fiacre just doesn't seem...quite right. I've taken note of it to fix it when this book ends, so please do not worry for the future. If I ever go to print one day, if I can afford to do so, then I do want to make sure certain things at least remain consistent. I can't say what happened back then given many of these pages were done several months ago now. Maybe I was tired? Maybe I was art blind? It's honestly hard to say, but it does happen clearly. XD I'm at least aware and I'll make sure to fix it when I can. 

Commissions are now concluded at this time so I'll be planning for work for September as necessary and the rest of this month will be for Mail Club arts and comic pages. I have quite a few pages to catch up on so will be doing my best. This coming weekend will also mark the start of our local Renaissance Festival once more so after that, my weekends will be booked most days till close to the end of September. While I generally only go as an attendee, I go to also take notes, sketch, and gather reference. Of course it's fun for me too. It won't hinder whatever work I do during the week at least :3

So yeah, going to be busy, busy, busy!!

Also, as shown above, I'm holding an ART RAFFLE on my bluesky for reaching 200+ followers! If you want the stats on how long it took me to reach this number, I looked it up myself out of curiosity. I reached 100 in August of 2024 and held the raffle in September, so it took me about 11 months to gain this current number :3 A tiny bit less than a year! I know in some cases when it came to some socials I used in the past, it would take me far longer, so that's pretty cool it took a bit less time. We'll see how it goes for 300! I do plan to keep holding art raffles at each 100 milestone so long as it doesn't get too out of hand, but if it keeps up this leisure pace, it'll be no problem at all. I look forward to this raffle. There's some wonderful characters in the comments already!

Other than that, my mentorship has also officially begun for this month! I will see how it goes and I'm pretty excited to see what comes out of it. Depending on how it all goes, I hope to be able to save up more in the future for additional mentorships, but for now, 1 month will have to do as that's all the damage my wallet could take XD 
On the upside, I've at least been reaching my required monthly minimum at this time, so I'm thankful for the progress and I hope to keep pushing this into next year. Maybe even be able to raise my minimum sometime next year and by doing so, give more comic, patreon, and video time! Heck yeah!

The Fights Have Ended:

This'll be the final preview images for the results of Art Fight and the repetitive image of the last comic page I completed. I'll be back to work as per usual quite quickly! I do also want to do an Art Fight summary video and hope to have that out sooner rather than later as I do like how the results went this year. I feel I personally learned quite a bit and maybe it would nice to share that too.

Otherwise, I'll be spending time catching up and completing this month's commissions to save up what I need for the month. So far, things in that area are going great and I'm already at 90%. If you would like to commission me or hold a slot for next month, be sure to either contact me through Discord or Bluesky or Ko-fi to view available commissions, updates, and where the goal currently stands for the month. Of course, help through Patreon is always welcome as well, especially if you'd like those weekly perks and updates. Other than that, I myself will be clearing out things that were not done in July due to Art Fight. 

That being said, I'm not out of the woods as this month will also be very busy between mentorship things and the festival, so my weekends and breaks may not exist much XD I don't mind though. Having a very time in the year can be good. The festival will provide some leverage of rest and respite so there's nothing wrong with that. I'll really be attempting to get my butt into gear so prepare yourself! Aminirus is booking it through the woods at full tilt to make sure as much gets done as possible!
